On 25th July, 2011, AIMEDICS flagship product, the HypoMon, received an Australian International Design Award in recognition of design and innovation excellence.
The HypoMon System is a non-invasive monitor and alarm for sleep time hypoglycaemic episodes. If physiological changes characteristic of hypoglycaemia occur, the HypoMon triggers an alarm at the transmitter and the monitor, alerting the user and caregiver. It is suitable for people with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus between 10 and 25 years of age.
AIMEDICS Chairman, Mr Martin Greenberg said, “This award is acknowledgement of our significant, ongoing and relevant investment into the HypoMon technology.”
CEO of AIMEDICS, Mr Victor Skladnev said, “The HypoMon went through a vigorous assessment by a panel of Australian and international experts with strong competition. To have received this award is further confirmation that the HypoMon will solve a significant problem for people with insulin-requiring diabetes.”
LX Director Simon Blyth said “It is great to see AIMEDICS receive this award. LX is thrilled to have worked with their electronics team on the HypoMon project”
